Wakefern Expands Simbe’s Business Intelligence Solution to Additional ShopRite Stores
Wakefern Food Corp. has announced the expansion of Simbe’s business intelligence solution to more ShopRite stores following a successful pilot. Simbe’s products leverage artificial intelligence and robotics to provide real-time insights and a comprehensive platform for retail optimization. The technology was tested in over 20 stores to ensure seamless integration and improved inventory management.
The pilot demonstrated the effectiveness of Simbe’s real-time insights in reducing out-of-stock rates and maximizing inventory availability, surpassing industry standards. Wakefern initially integrated Simbe’s Tally, an advanced inventory robot, to optimize inventory and enable retail associates to focus on customer-oriented tasks.
Tally autonomously scans shelves using AI to identify out-of-stock, misplaced, or mispriced products. It generates detailed product location data for efficient inventory replenishment. The data is then delivered to retail associates’ handheld devices, presenting them with a prioritized worklist for aisle-by-aisle inventory management.
The AI-powered platform of Tally boasts a more than 99% accuracy in detecting out-of-stock items. It significantly saves store teams dozens of hours per week, allowing them to dedicate time to important tasks. Tally is quick to set up, operates quietly alongside shoppers, and achieves return on investment within 60 days.
“This consistent access to deep, precise insights has empowered Wakefern and its members’ store teams to further improve the exceptional shopping experience their customers expect by keeping shelves fully stocked,” said Brad Bogolea, CEO of Simbe.
The expansion of Simbe’s business intelligence solution follows their recent Series B raise of $28 million, emphasizing the growing demand for their innovative solution among retailers like Wakefern.
